There is a section of the book in which Fanny disapproves of and refuses to participate in a play that her cousins and neighbors are putting on at home for their own amusement. For this part of the story to make the least bit of sense to a modern reader, one needs to understand that this particular choice of home theatricals would be the modern equivalent of a group of teenagers voting to have a wild, high-risk party in their strict parent's house while said parent was out of town. Studio, Atelier , workspace.... The space where I find myself , where I am entirely me with no restrictions , where i unclothe all and try , oh! I try so hard to become me in order to create. When I walk in my space and I have had a few over the years , a calm floods me , all is left outside and there I am , just me . When i write this , it seems and sounds so egocentric , but it is not like that, it has to do with being . Small paintings Small dimensions for me are the hardest to paint , I find it so hard to fit everything in a small space so I have to edit , which is the hardest part . So what happens is that I end up by loving them so much that these paintings are for me the hardest to sell, People prefer to buy the bigger ones , in a way it suits me fine , this way I am able to savour them longer . This is a small selection of some of the paintings , they are all mixed media. They are from diferent years but they all share the same size ,25 cm by 15cm or in inches 9.8" by 5.9".
